Montreal's Concordia University earns its reputation as a green university by supporting various environmental initiatives. One of these is R4, a program that educates the Concordia community to take the lead in real environmental action. R4 has implemented a vermi-composting facility, composting workshops and a campus greenhouse. By spreading the word about environmental action, R4 is teaching Concordia students that "it's cool to be green".
