Applying on-line
Internet AccessIf you do not have Internet access in your home or through friends, relatives or neighbours, consider alternative possibilities such as: campus career centres, libraries, community centres, Internet cafés, Service Canada Centres for Youth and Public Service Commission (PSC) regional offices. Alternative Methods of ApplyingWhen indicated on the advertisement, applications in alternate formats (i.e. fax, mail) will be accepted. Persons with disabilities preventing them from applying on-line can always submit a hard copy application if they wish to do so. The PSC-approved alternative to post-secondary training (i.e. community college, CEGEP, or university education) is an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. (Not applicable to Finance Officer positions at the FI-1 level.) PSC-approved alternatives to university graduation are:
Alternatives do not apply to positions in the Scientific and Professional Category (except as prescribed for postgraduate degrees in the Defence Scientific Service (DS), Scientific Research (SE) and University Teaching (UT) fields). Further requirements are applicable to university graduation substitute for the FI Group. When a candidate is successful on a PSC university graduation equivalency test, the test results are deemed valid only for the positions specifically identified by the hiring manager. Those results are not automatically transferable to other vacant positions requiring a university degree. |
