FemtoLab 1
  • Titanium Sapphire laser system, 1 kHz repetition rate, 800 microjoules per pulse, 39 femtosecond pulse duration
  • TOPAS optical parametric amplifier producing tunable wavelengths of 1.1 to 2.2 micrometers
  • Pulse compression system producing 8 femtosecond pulses with 100 microjoules of energy
  • "Coulomb explosion imaging" vacuum chamber with 2-dimensionally cold molecular beam and imaging ion detector capable of recording momenta in 3 dimensions with sufficient accuracy to observe ion recoil from electron ionization
  • Time of flight spectrometer with C60 molecule source
  • Time of flight spectrometer steradiancy aperture, plus imaging detector for electrons or ions
  • SPIDER pulse characterization of laser pulse phase

  • Titanium Sapphire laser system, 1 kHz repetition rate, 2.5 mJ per pulse, 80 femtosecond pulse duration
  • 3 TOPAS optical parametric amplifier producing tunable wavelengths of 1.1 to 2.2 micrometers
  • 2 NOPAs (noncollinear optical parametric amplifiers) producing 10 microJoules with 15 femtosecond pulse duration
  • Magnetic bottle photoelectron spectrometer with 30 meV energy resolution
  • Time of flight spectrometers for ions and electrons
  • Coincident photoelectron-photoion 3D momentum vector imaging
  • Cluster beam machine for producing metallic and biomolecule clusters
  • Four-wave-mixing time and frequency resolved spectrometer
