![]() Who we areThe federal department of Industry is seeking recent postgraduate students to work as economists and commerce officers. The Department includes several sectors, two of which are currently recruiting - the Industry Sector and the Strategic Policy Sector. They both offer interesting and challenging employment opportunities, with possibilities for advancement. Industry CanadaThe Department's mandate is to help make Canadians more productive and competitive in the global economy, thus improving the standard of living and quality of life in Canada. Industry Canada's policies, programs and services help grow a dynamic and innovative economy that achieves the following:
Industry and Policy SectorsThe Industry Sector helps Canadian industry and businesses to compete, grow and create jobs in the knowledge-based economy. It facilitates the delivery of industrial and related policy analyses and strategies designed to promote the global competitiveness of Canadian industry. In addition, it offers services, information resources, as well as sector policies and strategies that support stronger business growth. The Sector, organized along industrial sectors, comprises seven branches that represent 70 percent of the Canadian economy. They are:
