Database Search - Field Help

The system performs searches on fields such as Creditor Name or Debtor Name with the order of the words within the field not being important. For example, if you want to search for a creditor with the name 'David Smith', in the query screen, both 'Smith David' and 'David Smith' will return the same result. Our system is not case sensitive and will return the same results with or without French accent characters. So 'credit' and 'Crédit' are both acceptable. A wild card character % can also be used when you are not sure of the precise spelling, i.e.'inc%' will return any record with 'incorporated', 'incorporation', 'inc.', 'incorp.', etc.
