Bluff-Body Aerodynamics

The NRC Institute for Aerospace Research (NRC Aerospace) has expertise and facilities to investigate the aerodynamics of ground-based structures (bluff bodies), such as bridges, tall buildings and towers prior to construction to ensure their safety and stability. Surface vehicle aerodynamic studies are also carried out to enhance performance, maximize fuel efficiency and reduce wind noise.
