What is on the Essential Skills Web site?

The Essential Skills Web site makes available all of the information collected through HRSDC’s Essential Skills Research. There are two main sections of the site. The first is the occupational profiles, which explore how Essential Skills are used in the workplace. The second section is the collection of Authentic Workplace Materials, which provides real examples that show how reading, document use and writing actually used in Canadian workplaces. To learn more about each of these two parts of the site, visit the introduction to the occupational profiles and the introduction to the authentic workplace materials. To learn about the Essential Skills Research project itself, visit the background to the ESRP page.
