The Mount Allison Libraries is now offering a new way to search for books, articles and more at the Mount Allison Libraries and beyond!

WorldCat Local is a discovery tool that will allow you to search for books, e-books, journals, magazines, newspapers, videos and DVDs, musical recordings and government publications available in the Mount Allison Library and in Libraries around the world.

It will also allow you to search for articles in many, but not all, Mount Allison Library Databases and Indexes.

Though not a replacement for the Library Catalogue (which will continue to offer search functionality not available in WorldCat), this new tool will introduce new features such as simultaneous book and article searching. It will also enable user-generated tagging and reviewing, and offer a citation tool that generates citations in a variety of styles (including MLA, APA and Chicago).

Interested in helping us test WorldCat Local? Try it out here and let us know what you think! For more information, please ask a Librarian or read the "draft" version of our WorldCat Local Quick Facts page. Additional information is provided on the About WorldCat page.
