As a passenger in Comfort sleeper class, you have exclusive use of the sleeping car, a haven of peace and comfort. Choose between a berth and a single, double (with upper and lower berths), or triple bedroom.
A roomy, welcoming armchair awaits you. A huge window lets you admire the region's hills, forests and picturesque villages. At night, you will sleep in a cosy bed, with a down duvet comforter for warmth. Just a few steps away are showers reserved for Comfort sleeper class passengers.
Think of the dining car as a small, friendly Art deco-style restaurant, where the chef prepares your meals. Morning, noon or night, the dining car will charm you with its down-home Maritime ambience, its elegant table setting, and its refined service. As the countryside flows by outside the windows, you'll be served delicious hot meals featuring regional specialities and seasonal delicacies. View our menus.

Maybe the informal atmosphere of the Skyline car's coffee shop and snack bar would suit you better. Mingle with the other passengers and make new friends - that's what travel memories are made of!
You can also enjoy a light meal in the privacy of your bedroom.
As a passenger in Comfort sleeper class, you are entitled to special touches, such as a shower kit (towel, shampoo, conditioner and soap), checked baggage, access to the Panorama lounge* and priority boarding in Montréal. Our cordial, courteous personnel are always at your service.
* For the comfort of all sleeper class travellers, the Panorama Lounge is only accessible as of 5:45 p.m.

Comfort class lets you travel far for less. However, it does not include access to the sleeping car.
Choose Romance by Rail and turn your journey into a romantic escape. Specially designed for couples, this service entitles you to all the privileges of Comfort sleeper class, plus flowers, top-quality sparkling wine and a private suite made of two private bedrooms!
We recommend that you restrict yourself to two items of carry-on baggage. Make use of the baggage car and check all the baggage you won't need during the trip. You can check a maximum of six articles, three free of charge.
The laws of Québec determine the times at which alcohol can be served. Under these laws, you cannot consume alcohol that has not been purchased on board except in your bedroom.
We are pleased to announce that, in response to many requests from our passengers, the Chaleur offers a smoke-free environment. This includes the vestibules, washrooms, lounges and private spaces. However, those who wish to smoke may do so when the train stops in Charny and New Carlisle.
Families are welcome aboard the Chaleur! Children love the kit containing materials for colouring and the games offered. Videos for them are shown in the Skyline car. There's even a special kid's menu.
