Never
jump. Always use the gangway or ladder when boarding or leaving the vessel.
Be
careful where you put your feet, especially when wires, ropes or nets
are moving. 
Never
stand in a bight of rope or wire. If it tightens suddenly, a serious injury
may follow.

check ladders to be sure they are well constructed, secured and maintained.
