Porter Airlines Available in the OBT
We are pleased to announce the addition of Porter Airlines (PD) to the TAV On-line Booking Tool (OBT). The GC signed an agreement with Porter Airlines in October 2006 giving Government of Canada business travellers access to discounted fares on all Porter Airline flights. Until now, Porter has been available solely through the TAV Travel Call Centre (TCC). Please note that seat selection is not available through the OBT and should be completed upon check-in.

The Bombardier Q400
The Q Series aircraft employed by Porter are the quietest turboprops flying today. Not only does the Q400 significantly reduce noise levels, it also reduces cabin vibration, making the flight as comfortable as possible. Large turboprop-powered aircraft like the Q400 are leading the “green” aircraft trend. The Q400 is renowned for its environment-friendly characteristics in European countries with strict noise and emission regulations. Porter Airlines’ Q400s operate with the newest generation landing gear assembly and were therefore not affected by Bombardier’s recent Q400 directive. Porter has completed precautionary inspections on all of its aircraft and found no issues.
