Gift of Blood, Gift of Life - 2nd annual blood drive at the Canadian Museum of CivilizationGatineau, Quebec, April 18, 2006 — For the second consecutive year, the Canadian Museum of Civilization (CMC) is collaborating with Héma-Québec to hold a blood drive in the Grand Hall of the Museum on April 20. This community initiative will allow residents of the region to donate blood and to enjoy free parking and free admission to the Museum. The Canadian Museum of Civilization takes Héma-Québec's mission and the well-being of the community to heart.
In Quebec, someone needs blood every 80 seconds. A simple gift of blood can help save up to four lives. It is through the generosity of those who care enough to share the gift of health that the hospitals of the Outaouais and Quebec region will be assured of sufficient reserves of blood to meet the demand. Héma-Québec is the only organization in Quebec responsible for the management of the province's blood bank. Giving blood is a matter of life. Please join us on April 20.
Blood drive April 20, 2006 2 to 8 p.m. CMC Grand Hall Museum entry and parking will be free for all donors.
