Pochoir WorkshopGatineau, Quebec, July 14, 2006 – On Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16, at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Simon Brascoupé will give a special workshop on pochoir, introducing this traditional native stencilling technique through storytelling. With the artist's support, you will be able to create your own artwork.
Simon Brascoupé is a member of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg community located in Maniwaki, Quebec. He has exhibited extensively in Canada and the United States and published a variety of books and articles on native life. Don't miss this opportunity to try your hand at pochoir and produce images with paper stencils and inks.
