A weekend of activities at the Canadian Postal MuseumGatineau, Quebec, November 2, 2006 — On November 11 and 12, the Canadian Postal Museum, located in the Canadian Museum of Civilization, is hosting two unique and interesting activities. On Saturday, November 11, Remembrance Day, join Tarik Abouziane for a reading of war-time letters from the Jack Powerful Griss collection. You will hear the words of a Canadian soldier who wrote home from the front.
Also, on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, visitors can join local guest artist Marie-Pierre Kroetsch to make an original postcard using a variety of materials. While you're there, be sure to visit the Postal Museum's newest exhibition on postal imagery in popular culture, The Post Goes Pop, and bring back a memento of your visit. The exhibition runs from November 10 to January 6, 2008.
