Letter of Permission

Sample Letter

Dear Mr./Mrs./Miss:

This letter acknowledges receipt of your recent request for permission to use the ENERGY STAR mark in your                                           . Natural Resources Canada grants permission to reproduce the ENERGY STAR mark and/or accompanying text with the following conditions:

  1. The Guidelines for using the ENERGY STAR mark in Canada (attached) must be adhered to.
  2. When the ENERGY STAR image is used in a publication, this credit line must appear:

    The ENERGY STAR mark is administered and promoted in Canada by Natural Resources Canada and is registered in Canada by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  3. When the ENERGY STAR image and ENERGY STAR information are used in a publication the following credit line must appear:

    The ENERGY STAR mark is administered and promoted in Canada by Natural Resources Canada and is registered in Canada by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. All accompanying text has been reproduced with permission of the Minister of Natural Resources, Canada 2002.

  4. When the ENERGY STAR information is used alone, this credit line must appear:

  5. Reproduction of the ENERGY STAR information must be reproduced as received without any changes or modifications.
  6. ENERGY STAR information or image cannot be sold to any third party.

    All material produced must be reviewed by Natural Resources Canada for accuracy before distribution.
