Manitoba Hydro encourages its customers to buy energy efficient appliances for their homes. For a limited time, rebates will be available on select appliances that meet Power Smart standards for energy efficiency.
Products with the ENERGY STAR symbol are the most energy efficient appliances available. Specific models that display the ENERGY STAR symbol will either meet or exceed premium levels of energy efficiency. When you purchase an ENERGY STAR qualified product you can be certain that you are being Power Smart.

When you buy an appliance there are actually two price tags. The first is the cost of the appliance. The “$econd Price Tag” is what you will pay to operate the appliance during its lifetime. You will pay these operating costs every month on your energy bill. The less energy an appliance uses, the more you can save. Don’t forget to consider the $econd Price Tag when purchasing your appliances.
