Li Robbins is a Toronto-based journalist published by Canada’s leading newspapers and magazines. As a broadcaster Robbins has contributed for 15 years to CBC Radio’s national programming. She is also the author of two non-fiction books, Don Messer’s Violin: Canada’s Fiddle (CBC, 2005) and Going Bridal: How to Get Married Without Losing Your Mind (McGraw-Hill, New York, 2004).

As a music journalist Robbins’ work is published regularly in The Globe and Mail, and she has written for The Toronto Star and The Walrus, More, Toronto Life, Songlines and Elm Street magazines, among other publications. Online journalism includes blogging for CBC Radio 2.

Robbins created the CBC show Roots & Wings, and she’s worked as a producer on network programmes including Q, The Arts Tonight, Sounds Like Canada and This Morning. She began her career at the CBC at As It Happens.
