Biofuel is among the hot "buzzwords" circulating the news lately and with good reason. With concerns over climate change, rising petroleum prices and needs for agricultural product diversity, the race is on to produce fuels from renewable sources. The CANMET Energy Technology Centre (CETC), Natural Resources Canada has successfully developed an innovative petroleum hydrotreating technology that converts vegetable oils, waste greases, animal tallow and other feedstocks into a high cetane, low sulphur diesel fuel blending stock called SuperCetane.
