Compliance Promotion
Industry Related Activities
Compliance promotion activities are intended to make sure that the law is well understood, and that Canadians are aware of what is required in order to be in compliance. Environment Canada makes use of numerous promotional activities such as workshops, training courses, and special meetings, as well as promoting technological development. During the process of modifying or developing new regulations, the department makes special efforts to promote observation of these regulations.
Here are some of the compliance promotion activities related to regulations that affect air pollution from industrial and commercial sources:
- Compliance Promotion for the Regulations on tetrachloroethylene (Use in Dry Cleaning and Reporting)
- Compliance Promotion for the Regulations on Chromium Electroplating, Chromium Anodizing, and Reverse Etching
- Compliance Promotion for the Regulations on Solvent Degreasing
- Compliance Promotion for the Regulations on Fuels
