Continuing training or information sessions At least once a year, members of Boards of Referees will be invited to training or information sessions designed to update their knowledge of legislation and the jurisprudence, or to deal with any other subject that concerns them. National responsibilities: To coordinate the planning of sessions, in order to maximize the participation of the Commissioners and Appeals Directorate; to provide the regions with an analysis of trends in recent jurisprudence, prepared by a consultant in the private sector, in order to ensure consistency of information communicated to members of Boards of Referees. Regional responsibilities: To answer questions of an administrative nature; to lead a discussion on the analysis of the case law, to respond to regional jurisprudence concerns, and to deal with any other issues raised by members of Boards of Referees. Furthermore, the onus rests with the regions to deliver training on legislative or policy changes when they occur. |
