Language Training

The Canada School of Public Service implemented a new language training delivery model as of April 1, 2007. With the new model, the School plays a key role in assisting and supporting federal departments and agencies in carrying out their duties with respect to building and sustaining the official languages competencies of their employees.

The School has created a pool of pre-qualified teachers to work within federal departments and agencies for the purpose of providing official language services, implementing mechanisms that foster and maintain bilingualism and organizing activities to maintain acquired language skills.

In addition, the School has recently expanded its language training model to include self-paced e-learning tools designed specifically for public service employees. A complete suite of e-learning products is available through Campusdirect, the School's online campus.
