<p align="CENTER"><font size="+1"><strong>GRAHAM CONDEMNS TERRORIST ATTACK IN JERUSALEM</strong></font></p>
<p>Foreign Affairs Minister Bill Graham today issued the following statement concerning
the deadly terrorist attack in Jerusalem and the resurgence of Israeli-Palestinian
violence:</p>
<p>"Canadians, who woke up this morning to the news of this horrific crime, are appalled.
Our deepest sympathies go to the families of those killed and we wish the injured a
prompt recovery.</p>
<p>"The Palestinian leadership has condemned the bombing and must continue to reiterate
how detrimental these kinds of attacks are to the interests and aspirations of the
Palestinian people.</p>
<p>"It is very troubling that each time an opportunity arises to renew the dialogue, there are
dramatic setbacks to these efforts. But this terrible act should not divert us from our
peaceful objectives. We welcome and appreciate the presence of U.S. officials in the
region and sincerely hope that their efforts meet with success. We encourage Prime
Minister Sharon and Prime Minister Qurei to meet and match words with concrete
action, in the spirit of the Road Map."</p>
