Direct deposit

Instead of being sent a cheque, enjoy the convenience of direct deposit. If you request it, the CRA will deposit your refund or benefit payment directly into your account at most financial institutions.

Direct deposit is available for your:

• income tax refund
• GST/HST credit
• Canada Child Tax Benefit (including related provincial or territorial payments the CRA administer)
• Universal Child Care Benefit

You can request our direct deposit service by submitting Form T1-DD(1), Direct Deposit Request - Individuals to one of our tax centres (addresses are listed on the form), or online via My Account.
