Two Canadian films have won awards at the second annual Rome Film Fest. The movie called Juno directed by Jason Reitman won the award for best film. And the movie Fugitive Pieces by director Jeremy Podeswa won the best actor award for Rade Serbedzija.

The Embassy of Canada is pleased to announce that two Government grant programs have been renewed for the 2007 academic year. These programs are addressed to Italian researchers and faculty members whose research topics, or course themes, are related to Canada. The grant programs are supported by the International Council for Canadian Studies (Conseil international d'études canadiennes) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
