Abstract

National Wildlife Areas consist of land or water areas set aside to protect essential wildlife habitats. Coastal waters extend out to twelve nautical miles from shore. The Canadian Wildlife Service of Environment Canada establishes and manages these areas to conserve essential wildlife habitats.
