- Yard
- The basic unit of length in the British (English or Imperial) system of measurement. One yard equal to exactly 36 inches or 0.9144 metres.
- Y-axis
- The vertical axis in a rectangular grid reference system. The line scale on which distances to the north or south (above or below) of the origin (0,0) are measured and given by the variable labelled "y". "Y" variables to the north (above) of the origin have positive values, while "y" variables to the south (below) of the origin have negative values.
