This map plate consists of two maps, each showing the predominant ethnic group in each township as of 1901. One map shows the Maritime Provinces and eastern Quebec; the other map is of Ontario and western Quebec. A varying number of ethnic groups are shown, but always included are: English, Scotch [Scottish], Irish, French and German. Places of over 5000 are shown as proportional dots on each map.
