Children discounts

Children ages 2 and 11

In Comfort class (economy), children between 2 and 11 years old always travel at half the fare an adult would pay.

For example, an adult can travel between Winnipeg and Churchill for as little as $150. The fare for a child is only $75! (Comfort Supersaver fare, taxes extra).

In (VIA 1, Totem, and Sleeper classes), children are entitled to a 25% discount. An adult can enjoy a comfortable bed between Gaspé and Québec City aboard the Chaleur for only $139, but a child will pay only $99.

Note that children aged 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Important restrictions apply to children aged 8 to 11 who are not accompanied by their mother, father or an adult at least 18 years old.

All fares are in Canadian dollars and do not include taxes. Prices are subject to change without notice. Applicable discounts, terms, conditions and schedules are also subject to change without prior notice. The final cost of tickets, departure and arrival times will be confirmed at the time of booking.
