About $758,000 is being held for travellers who booked airline tickets with Canada 3000 six years ago, accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers said Wednesday.
The airline grounded all of its planes in early November 2001, shortly before filing for bankruptcy.
"As judicial trustee, PwC would like to get these funds into the hands of the people who paid for vacation travel that was never realized," the accounting firm said in a release.
The refunds apply only to claimants issued a reference code starting with the letter "V."
About 40,000 refunds to customers have been successfully delivered. But PricewaterhouseCoopers, the court-appointed judicial trustee for the former airline, said cheques sent out to another 2,700 consumers have been returned because of address or name changes.
The company has a list of unsettled claims on its website.
