Inspector for a day
Do you want to
spend an exciting day with an experienced inspector from the world of
transportation? Transport Canada invites you to participate in the Inspector for
a Day activity.
Eligibility
This activity is
aimed at Secondary III, IV and V students from schools located near a
Transport Canada service centre in Quebec,
Department’s Ports or Airports or those showing interest for transportation. It
is also aimed at College students who are studying in this field.
Goal of the
activity
This activity
allows students to get acquainted with various aspects of security and safety
and the enforcement of the regulations related to all modes of transportation.
While visiting sites with a specialist, you will be able to meet transportation
company representatives and get a first-hand look at the facilities. This is a
great opportunity to experience and learn about the world of transportation from
behind the scenes.
How to
participate
Transport Canada
works in close co-operation with the school boards and schools located near
their service centres in Quebec and with CEGEP that specialise in the field of
transportation. A resource person at each school chooses the students who will
participate in the program. Every year, 40 to 50 young people have the
opportunity to take part in this activity.
