Canada's ENERGY STAR® Market Transformation Awards 2007

On October 29, 2007, the 2007 ENERGY STAR Market Transformation Awards were presented to 13 ENERGY STAR Participants in recognition of their exceptional work in promoting energy-efficient products. These winners were selected from over 30 submissions that were received from organizations across Canada. Submissions included a range of projects promoting energy efficient appliances, fenestration, lighting, and heating equipment. These awards are part of a family of ecoENERGY Efficiency Awards supported by Canada's Government to celebrate best practices in innovation in energy efficiency in all sectors of the economy.

This year's ENERGY STAR Awards Ceremony coincided with the second annual The Business of Climate Change Conference presented by WWF (World Wildlife Fund). The winners were invited to attend the opening reception, on the evening of October 29th in the West Block of Parliament Hill. This reception provided an opportunity to network with businesses and government officials attending the conference. The theme of the conference was 'from theory to practice' with a special focus on the practical and operational business implications of the evolving regulatory and policy context in North America. Each ENERGY STAR Award winner was also invited to attend the conference.
