TDC will host a presentation by Dr. Moustafa El-Gindy on virtual tire and vehicle crash simulation on November 6, 2007
at TDC’s Montreal offices.
Dr. El-Gindy is senior scientist and director of the Vehicle Dynamics and Simulation Research Centre at Penn State
University. He is also an adjunct professor at Concordia University in Montreal.
The presentation will focus on a virtual tire simulation and testing program developed during the course of highway
safety research undertaken for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Dr. El-Gindy will also discuss simulation
and test methods developed for a commercial driving simulator. The presentation will include examples of virtual
simulations of crashes of small cars and trucks with highway signs and barriers.
Dr. El-Gindy will make a second presentation at Concordia University on November 7, 2007. The topic will be rollover
warning device for road vehicles.
