Calgary Stampede

Description

The Calgary Stampede has a longstanding history and tradition dating back to 1886. Ever since, the Stampede has been an annual promotion and celebration of Western tradition. Stampede Park in downtown Calgary is a venue for horse racing six months of the year, as well as for a number of rodeos, which are steadily growing in popularity, and exciting chuckwagon races. In addition, the casino, open year-round, awaits you with a variety of gaming tables and countless slot machines. For the annual Stampede in July, Calgary welcomes throngs of cowboys who demonstrate their skills with calves, bulls and horses. For 10 days the city is filled with country and western music, races and rodeos. It’s a must-see spectacular event!
