Travel Canada by region

See everything that Québec has to offer !

Travel Québec by rail and see where (and why !) it all began. See the oldest cities in North America and the land that encouraged their growth as you explore Montréal, Québec City, the Gaspé peninsula, and the incredible sites in between. It's all available to you when you let the train take you there.

A mix of languages, ages, and places to go !

Nestled casually along the St. Lawrence River lies the Island of Montréal - one of the most popular destinations in Canada. Built on a mixture of French, British, and other cultures, and hosting literally hundreds of festivals and events every year, Montréal tourism is definitely a must !

Come during the summer and see why Montréal is known as a festival city. Just a few blocks away from the Montréal train station, see some of the biggest names in music, comedy, and performance art at the Montréal International Jazz Festival and the Just For Laughs Festival.

Just down the river from Montréal, discover Québec City, the province's capital and the only walled city in North America. During your stay in Québec, travel the cobblestone streets and explore the local establishments of Old Québec. Finish the day enjoying the rich nightlife - at a dance club or a true Québec folk music show.

Head in the opposite direction from Montréal, and the Gatineau and National Capital region awaits you. From Gatineau Park to the Museum of Civilization and Lac Lemay casino in Gatineau, the Capital Region has more than enough to fill anyone's vacation.

For a more adventurous vacation, head to the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region : Follow the river on the Saguenay train and enjoy the opportunity to see some of the untouched areas of the province. Explore the moose-inhabited parks and the towns that have developed near the Saguenay River, either on foot or, for those into a more active adventure, by bicycle.

If you're looking for an even more natural experience, head off to the Abitibi region aboard the train that shares its name. Here, you can find acres of forests seldom seen by human eyes, as well as the First Nations communities that have a special bond to the land since before European settlement.

If you like the outdoors, then the Gaspésie region is an area of Québec you shouldn't miss. Jutting out towards the Atlantic Ocean in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence River, the Gaspé Peninsula provides countless opportunities for enjoying the great outdoors as well as complete luxury. And let's not forget the town of Percé, where you can admire the famous rock that has been "pierced" by the waves, giving the city its name.
