Danish District Energy/CHP Study Tour -
Registration Open
IDEA is pleased to announce a The Danish District
Energy/CHP Study Tour, March 19-25, 2006.
As a country, Denmark boasts the world’s highest market penetration of CHP/district
energy with close to 60% of the nation’s total heat consumption supplied from
CHP facilities. In and around Copenhagen, a combination of advanced
technologies, enlightened policies and public/private investment have resulted
in a vast interconnected network of district heating systems with the world’s
most advanced CHP facilities and waste-to-energy plants.
Tour hosts and site visits during this intensive one-week technical tour
will include global leaders in technologies, policy, planning and implementation
at world-class facilities demonstrating the very best of energy efficiency and
community energy planning.
This unique tour is designed to educate policy
professionals, urban and campus master planners; government officials; real
estate executives and energy industry leaders. For more information and tour
details, please click here or contact Rob Thornton at
508-366-9339.
