Energy Technology Applications Group (ETAG)

The Energy Technology Applications (ETAG) group provides technical and project management services to assist in the development and implementation of clean, energy efficient heating and cooling technologies.

Availability of Services

ETAG services are available to federal, provincial and municipal governments and to the private sector on a cost recovery basis.

Description

Along with developing site-specific strategies to help clients meet higher equipment performance targets, the ETAG provides services related to:

• reducing NO_x emissions;
• increasing energy efficiency;
• ensuring compliance with proposed emission guidelines; and
• extending the useful life of existing boiler systems and auxiliary equipment.

ETAG services include:

• site and equipment surveys;
• retrofit recommendations to ensure the safe, efficient operation of equipment;
• cogeneration feasibility studies;
• Life Cycle Costing Analyses;
• preparation of specifications; and
• turnkey project management of heating, cooling and cogeneration system installations and retrofits.
