During this period, he successfully grew Simetra's software and consulting business across Canada and the U.S. In the process, Ron co-founded a second software business that he built and eventually sold to a TSE listed company in February 2000. From 1984 to 1991, Ron held management positions in software sales and marketing. Ron joined BDC Venture Capital in September 2000 and currently sits on the Board of several Ottawa-based technology companies.
Ron Warburton is a registered professional engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Queen's University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

As a Director in corporate finance he participated in many IPO's, Privatizations, M&A advisory mandates, and equity and debt financings for companies in sectors including technology, transportation, and telecommunications. For the Internet company, he raised a first round of venture capital, did three acquisitions, two startups, and helped grow the company from 20 people to 145.
Steven Abrams holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University.

| | John joined BDC Venture Capital in January 1997. He has over nineteen years of investment management experience with early stage technology companies. From 1987 to 1997, John held progressively senior investment management positions at Innovation Ontario Corporation, a venture capital firm involved in early stage technology investments. In that role, he worked closely with the board and management of over thirty early stage technology companies. From 1981 to 1986, John was an investment manager with the Ontario Energy Corporation, which invested in a variety of oil, gas, and energy-related technology companies.

Andrew has also worked for a number of years as a software engineer at Nortel and as a consultant at DMR Group.

He joined BDC Venture Capital in 1987 at the Bank's head office in Montreal. In 1991, Roger moved on to gain direct operational experience by accepting a position with a major Canadian industrial distributor to manage their Quebec operations. Roger rejoined BDC Venture Capital in Toronto in 1993. He has been actively involved on the Board of Directors of several private and public high technology companies in various industries including software, IT services, electronics manufacturing and life sciences. Roger also served as Vice President of the Canadian Venture Capital Association (CVCA) and Chair of the CVCA's Professional Development Committee, where he continues to play an active role as a committee member.
Roger Wilson holds a BBA (Finance) from Acadia University and an MBA (Marketing) from Concordia University.

Jenny is responsible for identifying and managing BDC Capital's investments in British Columbia, Canada. Jenny has led BDC's investments in OctigaBay (acquired by CRAY), Telos Technologies (acquired by UTStarcom), PureEdge Solutions (acquired by IBM), Bycast, Eqo Communications and Zeugma Systems.
Prior to joining BDC, Jenny was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Co. She also has extensive experience in the telecom industry having worked in Nortel's Wireless Product Marketing group where she helped to grow the wireless infrastructure business in Greater China. Prior to Nortel, Jenny was an engineer with Telus.
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from UBC and an MBA from INSEAD. She also speaks fluent Mandarin and conversational French.
