Denis joined BDC Venture Capital in 2003 as Managing Director, Life Sciences.
Denis Ho has over 20 years of experience in the North American financial markets including years with MDS Capital Corp. as venture partner, Forbes Capital Canada Inc. as partner, KPMG as partner and Mercantile Bank of Canada as account manager.
Denis holds an MBA, University of Western Ontario, an M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology, Queen's University and a B.Sc., from the University of Toronto.

Gary began his career as a medicinal chemist for Boeringher Ingelheim in Laval, Quebec and for Syntex (USA) Inc. in Palo Alto, California, prior to joining the BDC Venture Capital. His hands-on experience is in the innovative area of drug discovery.
Gary Bantle holds a Master of Science in Organic chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from the University of Calgary.

Charlie joined BDC Venture Capital in 1998. His experience in the pharmaceutical industry encompasses drug discovery, clinical development, marketing, sales training, medical education, business development, strategic partnerships, intellectual property protection, and bioinformatics. He has held management positions with P&L, for a division of 70 people. Prior to joining the BDC, Charlie had 10 years of industrial experience with a multinational pharmaceutical company as well as start ups.
Charlie Fong has post-doctoral training from the University of California, Berkeley.

Andrew joined BDC Venture Capital in 2005. Prior to joining the BDC, he has worked in positions of increasing responsibility in the venture capital industry at Alpinvest Partners NV, Life Sciences Partners, T2C2/BIO and CentreStone Ventures.
Andrew holds a B.Sc. in Biology and Psychology from McMaster University, a Ph.D. from McGill University, Department of Physiology an MBA from Universiteit Nyenrode and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Montreal Neurological Institute, Centre for Neuronal Survival. |

Rob is responsible for investments on behalf of the Eastern Technology Seed Investment Fund in the Life Sciences area as well as for BDC Venture Capital. BDC is a major investor in this fund. Rob spent ten years with a major Canadian biotechnology company prior to joining the venture capital industry. His experience includes scientific, financial, legal, and business development roles.
Rob Hall holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McMaster University and an MBA from York University.

Brenda's focus in Venture Capital is biotechnology. Her approach is largely the result of an initial career in the computer industry as marketing manager for a national distributor and her experience as science educator for the North York Board of Education. Eight years of professional leadership paved the way to becoming an investment professional. Brenda participates as guest speaker at life sciences and high tech conferences and was honoured as one of Business in Vancouver's Top 40 Under 40 for 2004.
Brenda Irwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph and an MBA.

Jean-François Pariseau joined BDC Venture Capital in 2001. Prior to joining BDC, Jean-François was an Investment Manager with CDP Capital Technology Ventures, and the founder-manager of 2 health care companies specializing in: regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical-product distribution. He has invested in companies in the life sciences sector and actively participated in their boards of directors in both Canada and the United States since 1997.

Prior to joining BDC Venture Capital in I996 Nick was actively involved in corporate financing, restructuring and development of small and medium sized entreprises with the BDC lending team. He was also responsible for the Bank's lending and management operations in Western Québec. He sits on the Board of Directors of several public and private high technology companies, the St Mary's Hospital Foundation and has also served as a Director on the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal.
Nick Photiades holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Concordia University and a graduate Diploma in Management from McGill University.
