Canadian skier Manuel Osborne-Paradis posted the fourth-fastest time in Thursday's training session for this weekend's opening downhill race of the World Cup season in Lake Louise, Alta.
Osborne-Paradis, 23, completed the course in one minute 43.57 seconds.

The native of North Vancouver became the second Canadian man to finish on the podium in a Lake Louise World Cup downhill when he finished second in last year's race. Teammate Erik Guay of Mont-Tremblant, Que., finished second in 2003.
Osborne-Paradis's previous best downhill result was a 12th-place finish.
Didier Cuche of Switzerland posted the fastest time Thursday, in 1:43.24. Liechtenstein's Marco Buechel, who won last year's race, was second in 1:43.22 while Andreas Buder of Austria was third in 1:43.57.
Guay was 15th in 1:44.17.
