The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) produces and distributes bold and distinctive social issue documentaries, auteur animation and digital content that provide the world with a unique perspective. Since its founding in 1939, the NFB has created over 13,000 productions and won over 5000 awards – including its 12th Academy Award® and first Global Mobile Award, the Oscars of the mobile world, in 2007.

Canada’s public producer and distributor, the NFB is working in partnership with creators, independent producers and public and private sector partners around the world to ensure the digital future has room for artistic innovation and social relevance.
