Order Fixing April 25, 2007 as the Date of the Coming into Force of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, pursuant to section 60 of the International Bridges and Tunnels Act, assented to on February 1, 2007, being chapter 1 of the Statutes of Canada, 2007, hereby fixes April 25, 2007 as the day on which that Act comes into force.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order.)
The Order fixes April 25, 2007 as the day on which the International Bridges and Tunnels Act, being chapter 1 of the Statutes of Canada, 2007, comes into force. The Act establishes an approval mechanism for the construction, alteration and acquisition of international bridges and tunnels and provides for the regulation of their operation, maintenance and security.
