Beth Bilson, Q.C, Chair

Beth Bilson has degrees in law and history from the University of Saskatchewan, and a doctoral degree in law from the University of London. She has been a member of the faculty of the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan since 1979, teaching and writing in the areas of torts, labour and administrative law, and legal history; she became Dean of the College in July, 1999. She served as Senior Grievance Officer of the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Association from 1982 to 1985, and as Assistant Vice-President (Administration) for the University from 1986 to 1988, with special responsibility for faculty collective bargaining. From 1992 to 1997 she chaired the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board. In addition to acting as a labour arbitrator in Saskatchewan, she was recently appointed as an adjudicator under the Yukon Public Service Staff Relations Act, and as a Deputy Chair of the Discipline Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. She was awarded the designation of Queen's Counsel for Saskatchewan in January of 2000.

Professor Marie-Thérèse Chicha

Marie-Thérèse Chicha is a professor in the School of Industrial Relations at the University of Montreal. She specializes in pay equity and employment equity and has published a number of articles and books on these subjects. She has developed and presented seminars on pay equity to various stakeholders: employers, unions, legal counsel. In 1995, she chaired the advisory committee whose recommendations served as the basis for Quebec's Pay Equity Act. During the past three years, she has provided expertise in pay equity at the request of a number of governments: France, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Portugal.

Charles Taccone

Mr. Taccone has for over 20 years been a Senior Management Consultant involved in Strategic Human Resources Management, specifically Job Evaluation and Classification Systems development, implementation and maintenance. He developed the PricewaterhouseCoopers Universal Job Evaluation System and has designed and implemented a number of organization specific job evaluation systems and accompanying manuals for organizations such as the Apparel Manufacturers' Association of Ontario, Chief Executives of Large Public Libraries of Ontario, and the Canadian Manufacturers' Association. Mr. Taccone has led and participated in numerous large job evaluation assignments for private, public and not-for-profit organizations. He is currently the lead consultant on a classification system development project for the Government of Barbados. He has also served as an adjudicator for 8 years on the Ontario Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal. He is currently a Ph.D (Candidate) at the University of Toronto. His Ph.D dissertation deals with the social organization of knowledge as it impacts on gender-bias issues in job evaluation.
