Statement
CCOHS respects the privacy of every person visiting our website.
CCOHS has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate
our firm commitment to your privacy, and the high value we
place on your quality feedback. CCOHS attempts to take every
precaution to protect the privacy of every person visiting
our website.
Unique Personal Information
CCOHS does not automatically gather any personal information
from you, such as your name, telephone number, or street address
during your visit to our website. This information is only
obtained if you supply it to us voluntarily, usually
through contacting us via email, or registering in a secure
portion of the site.
All personal information you do provide is protected under
the federal Privacy Act. This means that, at the point of
collection, you will be informed that your personal information
is being collected, the purpose for which it is being collected
and that you have a right of access to the information. CCOHS
employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify
unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or
otherwise cause damage. We do use software to record the Internet
Protocol (IP) addresses of computers that have connected to
our website but we do not link these addresses with the identity
of individuals visiting our website.
Personal information is not disclosed to anyone except CCOHS
personnel who need the information, e.g. to respond to a request,
except as may be required by law.
How We Utilise Your Feedback
We highly value the information that visitors to our website
send us. It gives us a better understanding of what they need
from CCOHS, and enables us to improve our site, and our products
and services.
When you do provide us with personally-identifiable information
we will only use that information to improve the services
we provide, to track and analyse user logs internally, or
to contact you regarding occupational health and safety issues
which we believe you may be interested in.
All comments and feedback are dealt with confidentially and
are fed into our R&D process so that we continually improve
on what you appreciate most from the CCOHS website, its information
and our services. Once this information is received by CCOHS,
it is in no way disclosed to any third party.
We welcome your feedback regarding any aspect of the CCOHS

General Information Collected Automatically
In some cases, we may collect information about you that
is not personally-identifiable. Examples of this type of information
include the type of Internet browser you are using, the type
of computer operating system you are using, and the domain
name of the website from which you linked to our site or advertisement. CCOHS's subscriber lists are never sold, rented or passed
on to a third party and it is not our intention to do so in
the future.
Information We May Place Automatically On Your Computer's
Hard Drive
When you visit the CCOHS website we may store some information
on your computer. This information will be in the form of
a "Cookie". This information helps us to improve the service
we offer to you in a number of ways. The Cookies which we
use do not allow us to identify individuals.
If you do not wish us to place "Cookie" files on your hard
drive, you can adjust your browsers setting to either exclude
cookies or to inform you every time we seek to send you a
cookie. If you have already received a CCOHS cookie you may
delete it from your hard drive in the same way that you would
delete any file.
CCOHS employs software programs to monitor network traffic
to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information,
or otherwise cause damage. This software receives and records
the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has
contacted our website, the date and time of the visit and
the pages visited. We make no attempt to link these addresses
with the identity of individuals visiting our site unless
an attempt to damage the site has been detected.
CCOHS uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt
the transfer of sensitive information such as credit card
information.
