Privacy Statement

The information that you provide will be used by Agency employees in order to investigate and respond to your complaint. If your complaint relates to an air carrier or other responsible body, a copy of your complaint will be forwarded to them for comments or for their resolution as appropriate. If your complaint leads to a formal decision issued by the Agency, the decision will be posted on the Agency's web site. Decisions often include some information about the incident including the naming of the parties involved.

The information relating to your complaint will be retained in the Personal Information Bank number CTA-PPU-014 for 10 years. An individual has the right of access to their personal information and this information will be protected in accordance with the Privacy Act. Questions or comments regarding your privacy may be directed to the Privacy Coordinator by e-mail or by calling (819) 994-2564 or writing to the Canadian Transportation Agency, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0N9.
