A membership allows you to customize local weather and news updates, subscribe to multiple e-mail newsletters and find CBC Radio and Television programming information for your location, in your time zone. Once you have a membership, you have the benefit of easy access to all of these features every time you visit CBC.ca.
E-mail newsletters:
You can sign up for a wide variety of e-mail newsletters, ranging from breaking news alerts to information about specific programs. Your CBC online membership enables you to receive this content, straight to your inbox.
All of our newsletter offerings are now centralized, making it easier to see and select what is of interest to you. Now you can register to many newsletters at once, and you can do so in one centralized location, using only one simple login and password.
Customizing local news and weather:
Your CBC online membership allows you to customize local news headlines and weather reports on the CBC.ca home page. This is your ticket to content that is tailor-made for your needs, every time you visit us online.
Program Guide:
CBC online has created a new "no muss, no fuss" Program Guide where you can get all the details about CBC programs quickly and easily. The new Program Guide houses detailed show and host descriptions for CBC's six English networks in one convenient location.
The new Program Guide offers an organized, week-at-a-glance program schedule, and enables you to select program listings according to your area of interest. If you're a comedy buff, you can ask our Program Guide to display the descriptions and broadcast times for all CBC comedy programs. To do this, use our specialized "highlighter tool". The Program Guide also makes helpful suggestions about other similar CBC programs you might enjoy.
Your membership gives you the option of customizing the Program Guide by time zone. That means you can view schedules for CBC shows airing in your region by simply specifying your location when you register.
