Weather and Meteorology
Environment Canada provides weather forecasts and warnings 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help protect the safety and security of Canadians and their property. The Department maintains a Canada-wide observiation network to track hourly changes in the weather. Weather forecasts and warnings are produced with the aid of advanced technology, including satellites, Doppler radar and one of the world's fastest supercomputers. Meteorological researchers develop complex computer models to produce forecasts for weather, climate and ice conditions.
