Toronto Raptors forward Jorge Garbajosa was scratched from the lineup prior to Tuesday's 105-99 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Garbajosa, 29, was told to sit for the third time in four games because team doctors determined something was "unusual" about MRI results on the leg he injured last season.

Garbajosa, who is prohibited from playing or practising, is averaging just 3.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 10.7 minutes in seven appearances off the bench for the Raptors this season.
Last spring, Garbajosa underwent season-ending surgery after breaking his left ankle in a 95-87 loss to the Boston Celtics on March 26.
He remained overnight in a Boston hospital before flying back to Ontario to have the procedure performed by Raptors physician Dr. Paul Marks and foot specialist Dr. Johnny Lau at Toronto Western Hospital.
The successful surgery involved repairing a displaced left ankle joint, a torn ligament and a fractured fibula.
Garbajosa suffered the injury with 4:31 left in the fourth quarter when he was chasing down a dunking Al Jefferson and landed awkwardly on the ankle, which bent unnaturally.
Jefferson winced and immediately turned away in disgust as Garbajosa laid clutching his leg and screaming in pain.
Garbajosa averaged 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 28.4 minutes in 67 games, including 60 starts, last season - his first in the NBA.
The Spaniard played 12 pro seasons in Europe before signing with Toronto on July 24, 2006.
