1. TO ENTER
To enter the “Geminis with George” contest (the “Contest”), watch The Hour October 22 to October 24, 2007 where contestants will have to listen for a question asked by George Stroumboulopoulos. The contestants will have to answer the question via email (thehour@cbc.ca). Contestants must email The Hour at thehour@cbc.ca between Oct 22 and 2:59am ET Oct 25, 2007. Contestants must include their full name, address, daytime telephone number with area code (to ensure contact with winner on initial contact attempt), age, e-mail address, answer to the question and then email The Hour at thehour@cbc.ca.

To be valid, all emails must be received by Oct 25, 2007 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time (the "Contest Closing Date").
Entries received online shall be deemed to be submitted by the holder of the e-mail account and only one (1) qualifying entry per e-mail address per twenty-four (24) hour period will be accepted.
Online emails become the property of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (the "CBC") and will not be returned to contestants. The odds of winning the prize are directly related to the number of eligible entries.

2. ELIGIBILITY
This contest is open to residents of Canada, who have reached the age of majority in the province they reside. The guest accompanying the prizewinner must have also reached the age of majority in his/her province. The prize winner and the prize winner's guest must sign all required documents and send to the CBC the date he/she was declared a winner in order to ensure flight and travel accommodations can be made in time.
Directors, officers and employees of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, of their respective advertising and promotional agencies and of the judging organization are not eligible to enter this Contest as well as their immediate family (father/mother, brother/sister, son/daughter) or persons living under the same roof with them.
3. PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZE
On October 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., a random draw will be conducted by the Contest hosting companyCanadian Broadcasting Corporation. This draw will be made from among all eligible online entries received prior to the Contest Closing Date.
The winner will be contacted by telephone on October 25, 2007. If contact cannot be made with the winner within the first attempt of contact, a new random draw will be held and a new winner selected.
4. DESCRIPTION OF PRIZE
The winner will receive a trip for two (2) to Regina, Saskatchewan including:
- Return economy airfares for two (2) to Regina, Saskatchewan. Departure will be from the Canadian International airport closest to the winner's residence from which the designated airline flies;
- Two nights (3 days) hotel accommodation. CBC will determine the hotel and the category of the services offered in Regina.
- Two (2) tickets to the Gemini Awards.
- Three (3) items from the SWAG room determined by The Hour/The Gemini Awards Production staff.
The winner and his/her travel companion will be required to travel to Regina, Saskatchewan on Saturday October 27, 2007 and return on Monday October 29, 2007. The prize includes only what is specifically described above and no other allowance will be granted. The winner and his/her travel companion will have to pay all other expenses including, but not limited to:
- Meals and beverages;
- Transportation costs, including round-trip transfers between the winner's residence and the airport and/or the airport and hotel;
- Travel insurance (cancellation, medical, etc.);
- Gratuities, tips, taxes of any kind;
- Personal expenses.
If the winner and his/her travel companion are unable to travel because they lack proper documentation, the prize will be forfeited without compensation, and a new draw may be held.
NOTE: Certain travel restrictions apply. Travel must absolutely be taken October 27, 2007 and October 29, 2007. All travelers must depart from and return to the same city. Both parties involved in the trip being awarded must have reached the age of majority within their province. A valid credit card (or cash deposit, as set out by the hotel) will be required at hotel check-in. If the winner or any travel companion is unable to travel on the designated dates, the prize will be forfeited without compensation and a new draw may be held.
5. GENERAL RULES
5.1 To be declared a winner, a contestant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
5.2 Winner of the prize, as well as his/her travel companion, shall agree, if necessary, to have their names and/or pictures, including their photographs, and/or their voices used for advertising purposes related to this Contest, free of charge.
5.3 Winner shall sign a document attesting to his/her eligibility as stipulated in paragraph 2 of these rules and releasing CBC, and their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize.
Travel companion of the winner shall sign a document releasing CBC, and their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, from all liability for any damage or loss arising from use of the prize.
5.4 Prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged for an amount of money, nor sold nor transferred. No substitutions will be allowed.
5.5 If any prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules, CBC, and their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, reserve the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value.
5.6 Refusal to accept any prize releases CBC, and their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, of any and all responsibility and obligation toward the winner.
5.7 Should any contestant make a false statement, he/she shall be automatically disqualified from the Contest.
5.8 CBC, and their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, shall assume no liability resulting from losses, delays, mistaken addresses on mail or e-mail received, typographical errors, technical, computer or telephone malfunctions, loss or theft of computer or telephone data, damage to software or computer equipment, fraudulent calls or any other mistake.
5.9 CBC, and their affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, shall assume no liability whatsoever for any situation in which their inability to act results from an event or situation unforeseeable or beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to hold this Contest.
5.10 All personal information, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and age is collected solely for the purposes of administering this Contest and shall not be used for any other purpose without your consent. By providing this information, all contestants consent to it being used for the stated purposes.
5.11 By entering this Contest, contestants agree to abide by the Contest rules, which shall be applied by the CBC. All its decisions are final.
