Common Look and Feel for the Internet
Common Look and Feel Standards for the Internet (CLF 2.0)
The Common Look and Feel Standards for the Internet were approved by Treasury Board ministers on December 7, 2006 and are mandatory for all institutions represented in Schedule I, I.1 and II of the Financial Administration Act with a two-year deadline ending December 31, 2008, for the conversion of existing sites. Web sites launched after January 1, 2007, must conform to the new standards.
The new CLF 2.0 standards, including a new toolbox and template package, are available on the CLF 2.0 Web site.
Common Look and Feel Standards for Internet 1.1
The Common Look and Feel 1.1 Web site is still accessible and continues to provide information on the implementation of CLF 1.1 standards and guidelines, which remain in effect until December 31, 2008. Federal institutions subject to Common Look and Feel Standards for the Internet must comply with the CLF 2.0 standards by December 31, 2008.
