Canada's Embassy in Berlin offers consular and emergency services to Canadians
abroad. Our main objective is to provide to all Canadians effective and efficient
service.

We also provide certain consular services at the Canadian Consulates in Munich,
Düsseldorf, Hamburg

Our hours of service
We are open to the public Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 am, and by appointment
only from 2:00 to 4:00 pm except
holidays. You may telephone or fax us at any hour. If we are closed or unable
to take your call, please leave a message on our answering system and we will
return your call as soon as we can.
If you are a Canadian in distress, with an emergency that cannot wait until our office hours,
call any one of the numbers below and you will be connected with our 24-hour operations
center in Ottawa, Canada.

Our emergency services
• We can contact, at your request, your relatives or friends and ask them
to send you emergency funds.
• We can help you during emergencies such as natural disasters and civil unrest.
• We can assist with medical emergencies.
• We can notify next of kin regarding accidents or deaths and let them know
whether, and how, they can help.
• When requested, we can communicate with arrested Canadians and keep relatives informed of
the situation.
Emergency after-hours:
The Consular Bureau of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International
Trade (DFAIT) offers 24-hour emergency service to Canadians in distress. Call
Canada collect at 001-(613)996-8885 - the 24-hour Operation Centre.
